China Music Publishing will represent and administer the music catalogs of the Music Copyright Society of China (MCSC) and the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games (BOCOG) for the territories of North and South America. MCSC has signed contracts with more than 5,000 composers in China and BOCOG has agreed to pay for all Olympic-realted music used during the upcoming Beijing Olympic Games, including all music used during the Opening and Closing ceremonies that will be broadcast worldwide. As part of the deal, MCSC will become a shareholder in China Music Publishing, making the Chinese government a minority stakeholder in the company.
